Alpenglühen
Longing for the mountains – We may approach this traditional theme light-heartedly and jovially, while still recognising the profound force of connecting with nature.
The artwork Alpenglühen has its roots in my contribution to a gallery exhibition entitled Der Berg ruft (The Mountain Calls). When I discovered a beautiful mountain landscape painting in an antique shop, I had the idea of implementing a neon line along the outline of the mountains. The result turned out to be a striking piece, reflecting both the sublimity and the fragility of nature. The search for divinity in nature has always been a fundamental driver of my work.
