Light installation

The artwork Alpenglühen is an ongoing project of art editions. It began with my contribution to a gallery exhibition entitled Der Berg ruft (The Mountain Calls). When I discovered a beautiful landscape painting in an antique shop, I had the idea of adding a neon line along the outline of the mountains. The result turned out to be a striking piece, reflecting both the sublimity and the fragility of nature. Let us remain mindful that we are merely guests on this beautiful planet.

The search for divinity in nature has always been an essential driver of my work. The installations are based on limited editions of single fine art prints, neon, and frameworks. They can be installed as individual pieces or composed of several paintings aligned along the neon mountain horizon. In this way, various perspectives are brought together to create a surreal new landscape.
